Sony ปล่อย Firmware ใหม่ล่าสุดในเวอร์ชั่น 2.00 สำหรับกล้องตระกูล A900 ที่ปรับปรุงระบบออโต้โฟกัสให้ทำงานได้เร็วขึ้น แม่นยำขึ้น และขยายช่วงการเปิดรับแสงให้สามารถชดเชยแสงจากช่วง +/-3EV กว้างขึ้นเป็น +/-5EV พร้อมขยายความสามารถสำหรับการถ่ายภาพคร่อมจากเดิมที่ต่างกัน 4.0EV (-2EV, 0EV, +2EV) ให้ต่างกันมากขึ้นถึง 6.0EV (- 3EV, 0EV, +3 EV) เพื่อความยืดหยุ่นสูงสุด สำหรับการนำไปโปรเซสภาพ HDR

7D & 550D Firmware Update

เฟิร์มแวร์อัพเดทล่าสุดสำหรับกล้องในตระกูล EOS ของ Canon สองรุ่น

Canon ปล่อยตัวอัพเดทล่าสุดในเวอร์ชั่น 1.2.3 สำหรับ EOS 7D และเวอร์ชั่น 1.0.9 สำหรับ EOS Rebel T2i หรือ EOS 550D ในบ้านเราเพื่อแก้ไขข้อบกพร่องบางประการของตัวอุปกรณ์ที่ได้รับการรายงาน

สำหรับ EOS 7D นั้นจะได้รับการแก้ไขปัญหาในการใช้งานกล้องร่วมกับอุปกรณ์สั่งงานแฟลชไร้สาย ST-E2 ที่จะคืนค่าเดิมเมื่ออุปกรณ์ปิดตัวเองโดยอัตโนมัติหากมีการกำหนดระบบปิดตัว เองทั้งที่ EOS 7D และ ST-E2 ซึ่งภายหลังอัพเดทเฟิร์มแวร์เวอร์ชั่นนี้แล้วตัว ST-E2 จะยังคงค่าปรับตั้งล่าสุดเอาไว้เสมอ

ส่วน EOS 550D นั้นจะเข้าไปแก้ปัญหาเกี่ยวกับโทนสีของภาพในบางชอตที่ผิดเพี้ยนไปเมื่อถ่ายภาพด้วยคุณสมบัติ Auto Lighting Optimizer

PENTAX Firmware Update V.1.01 for K-5

EOS 5D Mark II Firmware Update Version 2.0.7

firmware ตัวล่าสุดที่ถูฏพัฒนาขึ้นมา เพื่อให้สามารถใช้งานในการถ่ายได้อย่างเต็มประสิทธิภาพ

This firmware update (Version 2.0.7) incorporates the following improvements and fixes.

1. Fixes a phenomenon in which the aperture exhibits abnormal movement when shooting movies in
manual exposure mode and Aperture Priority AE (Av mode) using some Canon lenses (such as macro lenses).
2. Fixes a phenomenon in which the exposure level shown in the LCD panel differs
from what is shown in the viewfinder when shooting still images in manual exposure mode.
3. Fixes a phenomenon in which the Wireless File Transmitter (WFT-E4 or WFT-E4 II)
may not automatically power off when used for FTP transfers.

Pentax DSLR firmware updates

Pentax has announced firmware updates for four of its DSLRs. Updates for the
K-m/K2000, K20D, K200D and K10D improves stability while recording images in some SDHC cards.
The latest firmware versions are available for immediate download from Pentax's website.

Firmware update for LEICA S2

Leica Camera AG has announced a firmware update (v.1.0.0.16) for the LEICA S2 and S2-P,
which will be downloadable from today under the Leica Owners’ Area on the Leica web site at:
owners.leica-camera.com

Below is the full list of improvements provided by this firmware update:

Extended camera functionality

* Additional HMI white balance preset added (Hydrargyrum Medium-arc Iodide lamps)
* Additional viewfinder information: exposure correction
* Custom setting for depth of field preview button
* Selectable OLED screen standby time
* Control element lock (shutter speed and aperture dials can now be locked to prevent inadvertent shifts)
* Extended user-defined button programming (the stop-down button can now also be programmed)

Improvements in existing functionality and handling

* Consistent, continuous image numbering
* Accelerated data transfer speed for computer-tethered shooting
* Increased compatibility with memory cards not formatted in the camera
* Improved handling for selection of exposure modes
* Compatibility with new Leica Summarit-S 35mm and 120mm lenses

* Automatic detection of interchangeable focusing screens
* Improved image viewing on the camera display
